potable water approved
Hi, Is this product approved for potable water supplies as in a lining for drinkable water storage tanks? thanks

There are many different types of polyurea systems. And yes, there are systems that have been ANSI/NSF approved for potable water. Sherwin Williams has one that is widely used, Envirolastic AR 520 PW.

Hi thanks for your response. The materials you recomended would be for a big industrial application of steel or concrete. How about a small application like a fiberglass tank on a boat? maybe a gallon or so. Is this a 2 part system? It says not to mix the parts. Can I apply it with a roller?

The polyurea system I referred to is a two part system that requires a high pressure plural component spray pump to apply. It can not be rolled on or used in a conventional sprayer. However, they do make trowel-grade and roll applied systems. I do not know of any that have the rating you require for potable water.
